This blog now requires comments to be approved before being posted. Troy's blog posts are not effected; only user comments.
Why?
In early July 2006 , this blog started getting spammed with comments. Typically, blog spam comes from computer programs setup to programmatically find blog sites and post unrelated comments with nonsense and advertisements. You know, like email spam trying to sell you viagra and stuff.
This has nothing to do with Troy or OPSEC or Goober, or any military at all. It's just an unfortunate thing that happens to websites and one of the solutions was an approval process just so that we could filter out spam comments from being posted on the website.
Here's how it will work: When someone posts a comment, the website notifies us with an email. We will then go in and check the comment just to make sure it came from a person, and then click a link that approves it, and then it shows up on the website.
This is just to enforce that only comments from real people get to the website. ;)
